Overview

As an IIoT Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IIoT systems and applications that collect, analyze, and leverage data from various industrial assets, machines, and equipment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, and domain experts, to develop innovative solutions that enhance the overall performance and reliability of industrial operations.

Responsibilities:
System Architecture: Design and develop robust and scalable IIoT architectures that integrate with existing industrial systems and infrastructure.
Sensor Integration: Identify and select appropriate sensors, actuators, and communication protocols to capture data from industrial assets and equipment.
Data Collection and Analytics: Implement data collection mechanisms and develop data analytics algorithms to extract meaningful insights from the collected data.
Edge Computing: Deploy edge computing solutions to process and analyze data locally, reducing latency and improving real-time decision-making capabilities.
Cloud Connectivity: Establish secure and reliable communication channels between IIoT devices and cloud-based platforms for data storage and remote monitoring.
Security: Implement robust security measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality throughout the IIoT ecosystem.
Device Management: Develop protocols and tools for remote device monitoring, firmware updates, and troubleshooting.
Data Visualization: Create intuitive and informative dashboards and reports to visualize IIoT data and performance metrics for stakeholders.
Integration with Enterprise Systems: Integrate IIoT data with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, manufacturing execution systems (MES), and other business-critical applications.
Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of IIoT solutions to ensure their accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor and optimize IIoT systems for performance, scalability, and efficiency improvements.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in designing and implementing IIoT solutions in an industrial setting.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, Java, or similar.
Proficiency in working with IIoT communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, OPC UA, CoAP).
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for data storage and analysis.
Familiarity with edge computing concepts and tools.
Knowledge of industrial automation and control systems (PLC, SCADA) is a plus.
Understanding of data analytics and machine learning algorithms for predictive maintenance and anomaly detection.
Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices for IIoT environments.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to stakeholders.
